Help put an end to child trafficking

From time to time we’ll post on topics not related to youth sports, but which are vital to children. As many as 85 percent of children who are rescued from exploitation rings have had contact with child welfare systems, including foster care. Homeless and runaway kids face especially high risks of exploitation and slavery. This week, an important bill is before congress that would provide  valuable resources to vulnerable children in California. Take a moment to express your support of Senate and House versions of Strengthening the Child Welfare Response to Trafficking Act (H.R. 1732 and S.1823). By taking this action you have raised your voice to improve child welfare and protect children against child trafficking. The deadline is this Friday.
