Little League rule changes for 2016

Here you can read a summary of Little League Baseball and Softball rule changes for 2016. While none are as earth-shaking as in some previous years, many are still interesting, such as the decision to ban advertising from all-star uniforms and giving umpires the ability to forfeit a game if, in their determination, it is being made a travesty of. Another interesting note, though not a rule change, is that Little League is adding sections of their operations manual to their rule books. Why is this noteworthy? For decades, many Little League boards have either ignored or been ignorant of the guidelines put forth in the Operations Manual, most importantly about how players are selected and assigned to teams. Now, ever coach and manager, (presumably) will have access to this information when they are given their rule books.
